Short CV

Christos Skourlas is a professor at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering of the University of West Attica (1989-). He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Informatics, from the University of Athens. He was with the National Documentation Centre of Greece as an analyst-programmer, and as head of the Systems (1983-9). He was also with the Nuclear Research Centre “Demokritos” as a research assistant (1977-82). Christos Skourlas is head of the lab “Data, Information and Knowledge Management (InfoDat_KM)”. He participates as a coordinator and key researcher in European and national funded research and development projects. His research work is published in international journals and conferences proceedings.

Databases, Information Retrieval, Knowledge Management, Cross Language Information Retrieval, Personalisation, Medical Informatics, Assistive technology for Disabled Students in Higher Education, Pervasive and mobile computing, and Security.
